Important Information Regarding COVID-19

Keeping you safe while you're getting care is our highest priority. Our staff is taking extra measures to provide COVID-safe care for the health and wellness of our patients.

Numerous precautions are in place for your protection.

  • Appointments are limited so fewer people are in the office at any time.
  • Everyone entering the BayCare Outpatient Center will have their temperature taken and be screened for symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Face coverings are worn by patients and employees.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the office and every exam room.
  • Exam rooms are cleaned and disinfected between every patient.
  • Entry areas and frequently touched surfaces are disinfected regularly throughout the day.
  • Furniture in waiting areas has been rearranged for appropriate social distancing.

When you come to an Appointment

  • We ask that you wear a face covering when you arrive.
  • We allow only one visitor to accompany you to your appointment.
  • If you have symptoms, please call the office before coming in to receive special instructions.

If You Get Sick and Suspect It Is COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises: mildly ill patients should be encouraged to stay home and contact their healthcare provider by phone or the patient portal for guidance.

Patients who have severe symptoms, such as trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face should seek emergency care immediately.

Older patients and individuals who have underlying medical conditions or are immunocompromised should contact their physician early in the course of even mild illness.

Protect Yourself And Others From COVID-19

The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to limit close proximity to other people and to follow infection prevention recommendations.

  • Keep a distance of at least six feet between yourself and other people.
  • Frequently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water or use hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Wear a facemask to cover your nose and mouth when you are in public places where you may come into contact with other people.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a bent elbow or tissue and immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
